€5million Barkas Bid ‘almost done’, AEK Goalkeeper expected to sign 4 year contract with Celtic

A rather exciting update on our earlier story which told you that a second bid from Celtic to sign the AEK Athens goalkeeper Vassilis Barkas was imminent. Well the same source, Greek spots journalist and Editor-in Chief at Sportime Giannis Chorianopoulos, has updated us on developments as Celtic’s move to sign a new first pick goalkeeper reaches as successful conclusion.

And the deal looks increasingly likely and a good one for all parties with journalist Dimitris Vergos claiming as an exclusive the following:

“AEK Athens and Celtic are in advanced talks for the transfer of Vasilis Barkas. Deal of 5 million euros plus bonuses almost done. The Greek goalkeeper is expected to sign a four-year contract.”
