Edouard’s Lukaku Comparison, laughing at Hibs Ladies 8 the Rangers 0

BOLI BOILINGOLI has compared Odsonne Edouard to his cousin the £90million Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku and the Celtic left-back reckons that French Eddie can be just as good as his relative.

“For sure he can go to the level of Romelu — Odsonne is still young and still progressing but in time he can become a big striker in the football world.

“You see how good he is every day, whether he’s playing for Celtic or France. He shows his quality every time.

“The manager says he will not be leaving. I hope this is the case because he’s a good friend as well as a team-mate.

“Let’s hope he can stay as he is a very important player,” Bolingoli told the media after Celtic’s 6-0 win over Ross County that took the Champions back to the top of the Table, as reported in Scottish Sun.

And after leading Celtic’s charge back to the top of the Scottish Premiership against the Highlanders at the weekend, Bolingoli reckons that Edouard can do the same against Lazio in the Europa League on Thursday night.

“It’s not difficult to go from Ross County to Lazio, because we are motivated,’ he said.

“It’s a bigger game, we will want to show off our qualities even more. We’re not playing in the Europa League to be the number two. It’s the same in the league, we didn’t worry when Rangers went top after the last game.

“Rangers are doing well and good for them, but only at the end of the season will we see who becomes champions.”

Did no-one tell him that the league titles are handed out particularly freely in Scotland? A club less that 8 years old has already won 54 titles apparently and recently seemed to became the first club to win a title in October. Their women’s team seem to be breaking all sorts of records too, they were away to Hibs yesterday. Not sure it ended up as a World Record though…
