Ex-Celtic striker linked with move to Turkey

CELTIC are in the market for a striker and whilst Albian Ajeti and Steven Fletcher are two of the names being banded about, one name that isn’t being mentioned is Oliver Burke. Burke arrived in the latter half of the 2018/19 season on a loan deal from West Brom. Despite possessing an abundance of raw talent, pace and strength, Burke never really looked like a natural footballer.

As reported by Nottingham Post, Burke is being linked with a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor.

The winger-turned-striker has three years remaining on his deal at the Premier League club but they look set to cut their losses, giving Burke a move away from the Hawthorns. The ex-£15m man played some good football at Celtic but when Rodgers left, Neil Lennon didn’t seem to fancy the English-born Scotland Internationalist.

During his time in Glasgow, Burke scored four goals in nineteen appearances. He then moved to Alaves in Spain but again, never really found a home in La Liga. Hopefully a move to Turkey would allow Burke to meet the potential that he clearly has. At just 24, he has a lot of football to play and hopefully will be able to find a club where he can play his game without the weight of that price tag weighing him down.

COMING VERY SOON FROM THE CELTIC STAR….
