Fabrizio Romano confirms impending €19m Celtic departure

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Italian side Como have agreed a deal to sign Nicolas Kühn from Celtic. The Italian journalist has confirmed that the Scottish Champions are willing to sell the German winger for €19m, just eighteen months after he joined the from Rapid Vienna.

In a post on Twitter, Romano confirmed that Cesc Fabregas’ side have swooped to sign the creative player.

Since signing from Rapid Vienna in January 2024, Kühn has scored 24 goals and assisted 18 times in 69 appearances for the club, helping Celtic to win four trophies. Brentford and RB Leipzig were also keen on the player but a move to Italy appears to be pending.

Celtic will now look to strengthen in the window by bringing additional wide players into the club. Kühn’s move to Celtic has worked out well for both parties.

I’m fine with him goin .. as long as we use the cash tae strengthen, which i’m sure we’ll do.
His head was turned long ago & he just wasn’t playin all that well for most of his time here.
Not as fast as ppl said & for a one trick cut inside wide man ye REALLY need pace (a la Arjen Robben, Lamine Yamal etc) tae get away with it every time.
On his day he could be outstandin .. but, too few of those considerin the quality of opposition compared tae us.
Oor Jota MUCH better & a constant threat tae his full-back, Kühn? Not so much!
