Another routine win was accumulated for Neil Lennon’s men today, this time in a 3-0 win against a very substandard Dundee United outfit. And, as has been the case for the last month or so, one man was at the very heart of it all; our very own David Turnbull.
A £3.25m summer signing from Motherwell, , David has fit seamlessly into the ‘#10′ role at Celtic Park since his big move in August, leaving Tom Rogic firmly in his dust in the battle for a starting berth, despite the Aussie’s stellar form for the Hoops’ over the past five seasons.
Since registering a goal and an assist in the damp squib victory over Lille at the start of the month, ‘The Wishaw Wizard’ as he has been dubbed on social media, has chipped in with a goal and an assist in every single game he has played in since; adding to the five-game-run today with a superb finish from outside the box against the Tangerines. With a game against theRangers quickly approaching on Saturday, Turnbull will look to make an impression against a side he has never scored against to write himself into Celtic folklore.
Reflecting upon the game, Celtic fans waxed lyrical about Turnbull.
Remarkable how (consistently) good both Soro and Turnbull have been since becoming regulars. Slotted in seamlessly for players with just one Celtic start between them before this month.

Someone needs to check if David Turnbull has an Irish granny. Or even a Scottish wan that drank a pint of Guinness at some stage.

Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull have completey transformed Celtics season. I know DT was injured but how could Lennon not see Soros quality to keep him on the bench up until recently. #CelticFC
