Footage from Hibs end shows incredible Ange Postecoglou mentality

On This Day in 2021, Celtic won the League Cup trophy thanks to a double from Kyogo Furuhashi. The showpiece final only kicked into life when Paul Hanlon bundled the ball over the line. Footage emerged in the aftermath of the game showing the quick response from Celtic, which epitomised what Ange’s team were all about.

As Hanlon scored, the Hibs supporters went wild as they saw their team go ahead. Celtic were plagued with injuries going into the game and with this chance, Hibs must’ve fancied their chances of going on to lift the trophy.

Although, from kick-off Celtic played just four passes to go level. Tom Rogic kicked off, knocking the ball back to Nir Bitton, who passed into the feet of Greg Taylor. Taylor found skipper Callum McGregor, who had peeled off to the left before a pass was played into the feet of Kyogo. The Japanese forward took the ball down before a neat finish to make it 1-1.

The ecstasy to agony in the Hibs end is brilliant viewing. The smoke bombs were still billowing into the Hibs end as the Celtic end erupted in celebrations.

Celtic will return to Hampden as they look to retain their League Cup crown against Killie at the beginning of January with the winners facing either Rangers or Aberdeen in the Final.
