Jeremie Frimpong is set to leave Celtic this week. The former Manchester City academy player is currently out of the country and is believed to be in Germany where he is undergoing a medical ahead of a transfer to a top Bundesliga side. All going well with the medical, Frimpong will be the first player of many to leave the club over the next few months.
The bid Celtic have received we understand is for £11.5million from Bayer Leverkusen.
We heard this story yesterday and checked in with SFM today after they tweeted the info mentioned in the headline.
Not an account known for flying kites, SFM instead tends to deal with the facts, figures and serious issues surrounding the game in Scotland. However one of the main chaps over there is a former Celtic employee and had numerous contacts at the club.
Neil Lennon has now confirmed the story at today’s Media Conference
SFM (Scottish Football Monitor) doesn’t really get involved in transfer speculation, nor is it an account that you’d expect to pass on any information unless it’s from a reliable source – and it is.

Not a surprise as he really looks the part on Euroopean nights etc BUT I think his lack of final ball was something he needed to work on. All I see are stories linking midfielders to Celtuc??? Defence is a PRIORITY, good luck Ping Pong.
