Glasgow Derby boost for Celtic as Liel Abada and Reo Hatate train

Celtic have been handed a double boost ahead of the Glasgow Derby as Reo Hatate and Liel Abada trained at Lennoxtown this afternoon. The Scottish Champions face Rangers tomorrow at Celtic Park and the duo could feature.

Celtic released the training photos that featured both getting their preparations underway for the second Derby of the season.

Abada has been out since September, having picked up an injury whilst on international duty. The winger was doing extra training at the end of a session when the injury occurred.

Hatate, meanwhile, was injured during the UEFA Champions League game against Atletico Madrid – which ended 2-2.

Both could be included from the start but the likeliest outcome is that both will start from the bench. The manager will not want to risk aggravating an injury as they look to get the team in the best shape for the second half of the season.

Paulo Bernardo is likely to start alongside Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley in the centre of the park. Luis Palma, Daizen Maeda and Kyogo will probably start through the middle.
