Hearts defeat means Celtic can now go top tomorrow

TALK about Craig Levein and natural order! The Hearts manager was put back in his box by Celtic over the past few weeks and today Steve Clarke’s Kilmarnock side went through to Tynecastle and beat the early season league leaders by 1-0.

This means that Hearts remain in 26 points having played 13 games while Celtic go to Livingston tomorrow lunch-time knowing that a win will take them to top of the table.

Celtic have 25 points from 11 games so victory tomorrow will take Celtic top with 28 points and with a game in hand over Levein’s off-form outfit.

St Johnstone have won all their games since Celtic hit them for six and they continued their fine winning run today, hammering Hamilton by four gaols to nil at McDiarmid Park today.

In the relegation battle Dundee fought back from a goal down to earn a one all draw with St Mirren at Dens Park, with the former Celtic striker(!) Kenny Miller getting the goal that secures the first home point of the season for Dundee.

Last night Gary Mackay-Steven, the former Celtic winger, scored the only goal of the game at Pittodrie against Hibs to give Aberdeen another victory and takes them level on points with Rangers on 21 points.

St Johnstone’s win today means that they leap-frog the Ibrox club who have dropped to 5th spot in the league. They play Motherwell at Ibrox tomorrow and we will see how they respond to their long journey to Moscow where they lost the match after having been ahead on three separate occasions.
