Hearts Ready to Offer Jack Hendry Celtic Exit

Hearts are set to offer Jack Hendry an exit from his place on the fringes of Neil Lennon’s Celtic. The Edinburgh side are in need of defensive reinforcements after a shocking first half of the season saw them end 2019 sitting 12th in the Premiership.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Daniel Stendel is keen to add the 24-year-old to his side in an attempt to climb the table whilst the player could benefit from some minutes on the pitch.

Hearts have been ravaged with injuries this season, especially in defence with John Souttar and Jamie Brandon out injured. Hendry has made just one appearance since Neil Lennon was appointed manager on a permanent basis – a ten minute cameo in the League Cup versus Partick Thistle.

The Scotland Internationalist was signed by Brendan Rodgers in January 2018 for a Dundee record fee; however, he has failed to impress and has been singled out for stick from sections of the Celtic support due to his lapses in concentration that have cost goals.

Hendry has been completely frozen out of the First Team affairs at Celtic as he sees Jullien, Ajer, Simunovic, Bitton and Elhamed ahead of him in terms of first picks at centre half.
