“He’s been great in this tournament”, ITV pundit Gary Neville raves about Josip Juranovic

Gary Neville has been taking about Celtic Star, Josip Juranovic ahead of Croatia’s World Cup Semi-final tonight. The former Manchester United and England full-back is a huge admirer of the Hoops man and has pointed out how strong a tournament he has had this evening on ITV with ex-Celts Roy Keane and Ian Wright.

In fairness, most pundits have been quick to mention Juranovic, such is the tournament he has had. Rumours continue to rage on, with new names linked daily with Josip. The latest has been Barcelona who are looking into procuring a new right-back after seeing their pursuit of Portugal star, Diogo Dalot come to nothing.

Neville said tonight before the game that Jura will be crucial in anything that Croatia do and referenced his previous performances for the colours of his country. The ITV media team showed a collage of his most effective displays, including the last one in which he was sensational against Brazil.

When host, Mark Pougatch, asked about Croatia’s potential threats, Neville referred to Jurvanovic and said “he’s been great in this tournament, up and down that right-hand side”. Ian Wright concurred with the former Premier League winner, stating that Ralston has been pushing him at club level with Celtic too.

Tonight, if Josip has another one of those games like he did versus Brazil in the last round, we could be talking about a major increase in his resale value. There really is no losing in this situation for the Bhoys.

Frustratingly for Josip Juranovic despite Croatia having most of the play in the first forty-five minutes they find themselves trailing Argentina by 2-0.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
