Transfermarkt loses credibility with bizarre Celtic and the Rangers valuations

Transfermarkt.co.uk has released their latest valuations for the Scottish Premiership and it makes for odd reading, quite frankly. The website provides numerous valuations for leagues throughout the world, but the most recent for Scotland is bizarre.

theRangers

I think the most ridiculous one however, is the paltry sum of £8 million for club captain, Callum McGregor. It notes there is no change beside the once-in-a-generation midfield maestro. The disbelief is rife, with loads of Celtic fans revealing their shock and horror at the weirdest valuations you are ever likely to see under the circumstances.

The most recent Ibrox club’s players haven’t kicked a ball for months and finished stone-dead last in the UEFA Champions League group stage on ZERO points as the WORST team in Champions League history. Coupled with this is the not so insignificant fact of being NINE, yes NINE points behind the Champions Celtic in second place in the cinch Premiership league table.

Take a look at this nonsense…

And some of the reaction…

  1. There isn’t a rangers player that would get into the Celtic starting 11 and many Celtic players that aren’t guaranteed a start at Celtic who would get a start at rangers. It is totally baffling, or maybe it’s a rangers supporter doing the evaluation. As we know the dominance of rangers supporters in football in Scotland be it media, referees and the SFA in overwhelming. All we can say is, that the values of each team is obviously not being calculated by a Celtic supporter or an independent. As Lee Johnson at Hibs said “rangers are no where near Celtics level!”, so how can they be a more valuable side?
