Higher Morgan Fee Revealed as Miami Move Nears

Lewis Morgan has inched closer to sealing his move to David Beckham’s Inter Miami. The Florida based MLS franchise are set to seal the deal for the 23-year-old on a three-year contract, subject to his visa application being successful.

The Daily Record reports that the fee for Morgan was higher than the Daily Mail’s quoted £300k and was in fact closer to £400k meaning that the Scottish Champions would net a profit of £150k for the ex-St Mirren man.

Morgan was loaned out twice in his time at Celtic, firstly back to St Mirren for the remainder of the 2017-18 season and then a second half of the season reunion with Jack Ross at Sunderland. In 31 appearances for Celtic, Morgan scored twice but never really settled into the club.

Throughout the qualifiers, early league matches as well as his stint as a striker, Morgan has had a chance to impress Neil Lennon; however it would appear that the Irishman has decided that Morgan is surplus to requirements.

With Paddy Klimala nearing his arrival, the return to training of wide pair Marian Shved as well as Daniel Arzani – Neil Lennon has been keen to offload the deadwood. Scott Sinclair has already made his exit and now another left winger appears to be on his way out.
