Highlights as Celtic prepare for Ibrox by destroying Livingston

Celtic prepared for next weekend’s Scottish Cup Fourth Round tie at Ibrox with a thumping victory over David Martindale’s Livingston. John Kennedy’s side have shown signs of progress since the 37-year-old took over as interim manager and Livi were on the receiving end of a comprehensive demolition job.

James Forrest opened scoring after a lofted pass from Odsonne Edouard. The mis-hit shot managed to squirm under Robbie McCrorie in the Livi net. It was 2-0 when Moi Elyounoussi found the byline in order to clip the ball to David Turnbull, who won’t have an easier finish.

Scott Brown looked to convert a corner and make it 3-0 but it was marked down as an own-goal. Elyounoussi then made it 4-0 with a first time curling effort.

The Norwegian duo of Moi Elyounoussi and Kris Ajer combined to make it Celtic 5 Livingston 0. Minutes after the on-loan Southampton winger put a right footed effort beyond McCrorie in the Livi net, Moi grabbed a brace.

Kris Ajer took the ball from the Celtic half, powered forward riding challenges and building up pace as the defenders tried to stop the galloping Ajer. He looked up and sent a neat pass to the feet of Moi, who took a touch before clipping the ball over the on-rushing McCrorie.

It was 6-0 after Efe Ambrose pushed the ball into the path of Ryan Christie, who pushed into the box and then deposited a finish to complete rout.
