Highlights as Celtic’s struggles continue

Celtic dropped points again as the make it four games without a win in 2021. Things went from bad to worse as Celtic dropped more points in a 2-2 draw in West Lothian.

Ciaron Brown opened the scoring for Livingston versus Celtic at The Tony Macaroni Stadium after some shocking defending from Neil Lennon’s side allowed the defender a free header.
Shane Duffy gave away a needless foul to allow Livi the chance to float it into the box and they duly exposed Celtic’s defensive frailties.

Moi Elyounoussi fired Celtic level after the Norwegian attacker brilliantly struck the ball into the Livingston net from a Leigh Griffiths corner. After Brown opened the scoring for Livi from a set piece, Celtic responded with a goal from one themselves.It was the top-scorer loanee from Southampton that popped up and scored from Celtic’s second consecutive corner after Shane Duffy’s goal bound header was diverted behind.

Nir Bitton showed the instincts of a striker to fire Celtic ahead in a must-win game against Livingston. The Israeli central defender ghosted into the box and was found superbly by Callum McGregor who faked a shot and slipped his teammate in instead.
Bitton scored his first Celtic goal in four years as he lifted the ball over Robbie McCrorie in the Livi nets after being adjudged to have been onside.

Jay Emmanuel Thomas gave Livingston an equaliser out of nowhere as Celtic’s defence frailties were exposed once again. Ryan Christie lost a 50/50 before a cross in front of the face of goal allowed the unmarked JET to tap the ball in.
Shane Duffy slid across the turf in anticipation of the earlier shot but by doing so he allowed Emmanuel Thomas a tap-in at the back post.

Scott Brown was sent off for a needless foul and fans find themselves praying for the season to end in order to put us out of this misery.
