“I am so grateful for the songs from the fans with my name,” Oh’s Magic Moment

Celtic’s goal hero Oh certainly enjoyed scoring that crucial second goal for Celtic yesterday against Hibs to put the Hoops ahead for the first time in the match and effectively to secure the three points. And the South Korean striker was blown away by the response from the Celtic fans singing his song which of course everyone knows the words or actually the word.

“I was very glad that I could score after I came from the bench. This opportunity gave me the confidence that I hope for to help the team.

“This is a big moment because I got this confidence in this team. I always go into a game with the belief that I will score. But, I was happy to use this chance because before that I missed two chances,” Oh told the media after the match as reported by Scottish Sun.  “It was a shame for me – but then I was happy to score.

“I am going to Korea after this game, so I knew this game was important. I am relieved now that I can go to the national team in Korea feeling confident.

“I am so grateful for the songs from the fans with my name and this is also my motivation that I want to score. I think it’s a happy moment for a footballer to hear songs and to play for such great fans.

“I have heard so much about the legend Jurgen Klinsmann – and I am so looking forward to work with him. I am happy to work with him.”

And in his interview with Celtic TV Oh repeated much of what he had to say at the post match media conference. “I missed the first chances I got but I’m happy that I got the opportunity to score.

“In the situation where we were losing the game, as a striker, I hoped that I could score an important goal for the team I’m so happy that I achieved that.

“I have enjoyed my time in Scotland very much but I’m looking forward to visiting my home country. I’m looking forward to playing with the national team and I’m happy to score and go back to Korea in what’s a happy time.”
