“I’m sure he will stay”: Christopher Jullien tips Celtic star to stay past this Summer

With all the uncertainty in football just now, it does feel like the transfer window could be much quieter than usual this Summer.

It’s still possible that some teams will try and exploit the market to pick up a bargain, but they will be reliant on the selling team being desperately in need of cash.

That shouldn’t affect Celtic for now, admittedly they might not be able to spend much in the market, but they should be strong enough financially to withstand the past few months.

Odsonne Edouard has been tipped for a big move away from Celtic Park, but that could be more unlikely for now thanks to the circumstances around the world.

There are other reasons he could stay too, as a teammate has spoken about how happy Eddy is in Glasgow, so this should be good news for the fans.

Sporting News picked up some comments from Christopher Jullien about his compatriot, and it sounds like he’s happy with life just now:

“Odsonne is a good player and one day he will have a lot of clubs interested in him. But he’s in a really good place right now with Celtic. He’s done some unbelievable stuff and I really hope that he’ll stay here.”

“I enjoy playing with him and I want him to stay for as long as he can. That would be incredible for everyone at Celtic. He’s in a really good place. It’s so difficult just now with this situation. People speak about transfers but who knows when football will be back? “

“After that, all the other stuff can happen. But don’t worry, I’m sure Odsonne is happy where he is. I’m sure he will stay. He is silent, he hides what he is feeling and he’s someone who controls his emotions.”

“But he’s a really good guy, trust me. He is quite happy at Celtic.”

It’s often overlooked that a player need to put happiness about money sometimes, and hopefully this means Eddy will stay at Celtic for some time yet.
