Is Romain Perraud set to join Jullien as Celtic’s French Foreign Legion expands?

CELTIC interest in signing the Nice left back Romain Perraud, who spent last season out on loan at Paris FC, has not ended.

Neil Lennon travelled to Paris to watch Perraud personally at the end of April in a goalless draw against Valenciennes. Yesterday there were reports that the player’s wage demands were too high for Celtic but reports in France this morning indicate that Celtic remain interested and indeed are in pole position to sign the young defender.

“At Celtic, Jullien could find another Frenchman in the person of the young left side of Nice Romain Perraud, trained by @USColomiers. French colony expands after Edouard and Ntcham,” is the rough translation.

Romain Perraud’s name appeared on the notorious leaked document from the start of April. Given that he’s been out on loan to a second tier team in France, his wages demands can’t be too prohibitive surely?
