Ismaila Soro calls Celtic Park ‘unlike anything anywhere else’

Celtic finally managed to get the Ismaila Soro deal over the line yesterday after jumping over numerous hurdles that presented themselves during the transfer. The Ivorian has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the Hoops and was pictured training with his new teammates this morning at Lennoxtown.

And judging by his recent comments, he cannot wait to get started at Celtic Park after seeing his move drag on for weeks. As reported by the Daily Record, the New Bhoy said:

“I’ve watched a lot of Celtic games recently and I can’t wait to get started here. The stadium is huge and with the reputation of these great fans I know the atmosphere at Celtic Park will be unlike anything anywhere else.

“The stadium is amazing and I can only imagine how great it will be when it’s full of fans.”

Celtic Park is famed for its atmosphere and it is no surprise that Soro is looking forward to the experience. An European night at Paradise and he might even be prepared to stay here for life.

The hard work begins here though. The midfielder comes with a great reputation from Israeli side Bnei Yehuda but it is his job to replicate that success in Scottish football. Israel has become one of Celtic’s favourite shopping destinations in recent years but their record has been hit-and-miss. Thus, Soro will have to work his socks off if he wants to feel the love and admiration of Celtic Park. Anything less and he could be on his way out like so many before him.
