It’s probably not a great feeling supporting Hibs right now, they’re languishing near the bottom of the Premiership and only really had tonight’s semi final to look forward to.
Paul Heckingbottom was under severe pressure before the game, many felt it might come down to the manner of the performance rather than the result as he looks for more time. They had a decent spell in the second half, but Celtic were always in control and the result was never really in doubt.
When Celtic play well there isn’t a team in the league that can live with them, so there’s no shame in losing heavily to Neil Lennon and his team.
Despite that, Heckingbottom will probably want to steer clear of Twitter if he’s looking for some reassurance after the game:
I’ve had enough now Heckingbottom out

Sometimes you just need to laugh at the sheer incompetence of sacking Neil Lennon and replacing him with Paul Heckingbottom.

If heckingbottom doesn’t get sacked before St Johnstone next Saturday that’s worse than losing today. Utterly farcical if that happens. Act now or risk relegation! @HibernianFC

Bye bye heckingbottom! Dempster can go to if she doesn’t sack him early enough 🤷🏻♂️

Heckingbottom crying about the ref imagine my shock

It’s particularly interesting to see he’s still moaning about the refereeing in the game. His team was comprehensively outclassed so he’s clearly grasping at straws. Let’s not forget when he moaned after the draw at Easter Road when Celtic were denied penalty after penalty in the game.
It’s so easy to forget that Hibs got rid of Neil Lennon to bring Heckingbottom in. It’s unlikely that he’ll admit it, but you have to think Lenny is delighted to see the club regress after he was forced out. It will be even sweeter to humble his successor on the national stage.
His Wikipedia entry has been updated to say he was the former head coach of Hibernian, wishful thinking or does somebody know whats about to happen to him?
