The official Celtic TikTok page has uploaded a short clip announcing Kyogo’s four-year contract extension.

In the clip, we see a smiling Kyogo at an empty Celtic Park while chanting is heard in the background, saying: “Four more years.” This means that Kyogo will remain at Paradise as a Celtic player until 2027! As the past week has been filled with some disappointing news (the departure of Jota and the retirement of Aaron Mooy), it’s really great to see some positivity coming from Celtic and of course that Kyogo contract extension was just the first of several more with Daizen Maeda next to commit to a new four year contract extension at Celtic.

Who is next? It’s hard to imagine that Celtic will not have offered a similar deal to Reo Hatate, who over the weekend committed himself to Celtic for now but does have aspirations to play in the English Premier League.

Will Hatate join his fellow Japan internationalists Kyogo and Daizen Maeda in signing a new deal at Celtic? We should find out soon enough if the answer is yes.
