Let’s not be too harsh on Yang

Don’t be too harsh on Yang, he’s still learning…

As usual after a disappointing defeat the knives get sharpened by the supporters and there is always a player or two who feels the wrath of the supporters. One of those players is Yang. The South Korean hasn’t had the best of times since arriving at the club, but has shown in glimpses what he is capable of.

Some have written him off already, but that is harsh to say the least. He has the talent, that isn’t in doubt, but he is rather inconsistent. That is to be expected though. He’s young and just settling into a new country and a new style football. It will of course take time.

He’s also been thrown in to the side due to injury problems which isn’t ideal. Yang has shown in some big games that he has the talent, but as I say it’s just his consistency that lets him down.

Those who are saying he’ll never make it at Celtic are being pretty harsh, it’s far too early to judge him. He can beat a man, he’s a real crowd pleaser, maybe he has to improve on his crossing, but that will come with time. Writing him off just now is plain wrong, give him time I’m sure he’ll come good.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy

  1. Would help him no end if Rodgers can actually decide upon what he’s looking for from the wide men, as he himself is also inconsistent upon what he is looking from them also imo?
Seems to want them to cut inside more so now, which is normal enough these days, but also running into traffic on to many occasions, especially against an anti football team, where space is at a premium, or the well setup defensive line?
We aren’t seeing the wider men making them runs inside the full backs and CB on to many occasions, with kyogo or Oreily expected to do that role nowadays?
Again we still require Rodgers to add more to the overall game of yang for him to benefit more so for ourselves imo.
Certainly got talent, remains questionable as to weather that talent is being used in the best possible ways for ourselves also imo?

    • 100% right John no. I think there is a decent player there but he will need a bit of time. I’m not sure if he will be allowed it though. We need to be spreading the game rather than condensing it further by having them cut in all the time.

      P.S.come back to the Noise

  2. He hasn’t shown much end product but tbf he is just a young lad in a new environment and he should be given time to settle. Throwing him into these games is out of order imo. Lawwell and Co have a lot to answer for.

  3. How about giving Vata a chance on the right?Other clubs supposedly after him so let’s see him in a senior game. McCausland being given his chance across town.
