Because nobody really knows the current financial situation at most football clubs, it’s almost impossible to figure out what will happen in the transfer window.
A lot of the transfer rumours seem to presume that nothing will change, so Celtic continue to be linked with big money moves for strikers.
Realistically it would probably take Odsonne Edouard leaving to force Celtic to spend a lot of money on a new forward, so it’s hard to tell how credible these rumours are.

Despite that, Get Football News France had linked Neil Lennon’s side with a move for Clermont striker Adrian Grbic.
There’s still no indication that Celtic have opened talks, but they revealed in a separate report today that newly promoted Lorient have launched a bid to sign him.
It’s not clear if it will be successful, they state that Clermont are looking for around €10m to let him go, but Lorient’s proposal is only worth around €6m.
Again they reference the interest from Celtic, so it will be interesting to see if they do anything to try and beat the French side to his signing.
Grbic has been prolific this season and he’s also deadly from set pieces, but it’s still impossible to see him getting into the team in front of Eddy, while Leigh Griffiths is a dependable back-up.
There is a chance that he could play wide on the left and fill the void left by Elyounoussi, but it would be a risk to spend that much money just to play someone out of position.
