Liverpool star makes cheeky Celtic comment after Sunday’s matches

Liverpool star Andy Robertson has made a cheeky Celtic comment as he celebrated his side’s win over Tottenham Hotspur. Despite being 3-0 up within 15 minutes, Spurs equalised in injury time to all but secure a point before Liverpool’s Jota stole the three points a matter of seconds later.

Robertson, a well-known Celtic supporter, took to Instagram after the game to celebrate with the caption ‘Jota Sundays’, referencing the match winner at Hampden hours earlier.

The 29-year-old has spoken before about wanting to spend some of his playing career at Celtic Park. The message is cryptic but it is clear that he is referencing Celtic’s Jota. The Scottish Cup Semi Final was played out at 100mph with sides going for it, knowing a place in the Final was at stake.

Celtic were robust and dug deep and were rewarded with their never stop attitude when Daizen Maeda latched onto a loose ball in the Rangers box and sent his cross in for the superstar from Portugal to convert. Borna Barisic, Nico Raskin and Ryan Kent were all closer to the ball but they switched off, allowed Celtic to have the ball and watched bitterly as they celebrated.
