Luckless Edouard can’t Buy a Goal, can Mariah Lee not get a Game for the Men’s Team as well?

It is not often that I can honestly say that I am not really bothered about an Aberdeen v Celtic game, but indifference was my main emotion last night. I didn’t really feel that I wanted to give any money to Aberdeen PPV, so I listened sporadically to the game on the radio and saw the TV highlights.

I did get out of my seat to greet the equalising goal, however, for it was a good one. And I am sure that I am not the only supporter who feels that Griffiths should have been on from the start.

I really now think that euthanasia should be applied to the luckless Edouard’s Celtic career. The poor chap can’t even buy a goal at the moment, and seldom have I actually felt so sorry for an underperforming Celtic player. He has had his moments with Celtic and he should be proud of them, but things are now fizzling out for him. It is very sad.

If anything, the referee was kind to Celtic last night. Many referees would have given a penalty against Callum McGregor when Jonny Hayes looked clear (we should have held on to Jonny, by the way!), and it was difficult to see how David Turnbull was not given the long lonely walk for his indiscretion late in the game. Both teams missed some awful chances, and it is maybe an idea to banish this game to its deserved obscurity, as we wait for a very important announcement, which really has to come soon.

Can Mariah Lee not get a game for the men’s team as well? Now there was a good example of how to score a goal, and well done the Ghirls! We look forward to more success from what is clearly a very enthusiastic bunch of performers, all clearly proud to wear the green and white. More so than some others we could mention.

“Goodness, it is enough to make one think that the BBC don’t like Celtic”

Oh, and another thing! The Scottish Cup final classics game on BBC this week is the 2015 Final between Falkirk and Inverness Caledonian. The previous two have been Rangers v Aberdeen in 1982 and Rangers v Queen of the South in 2008. The sharp-eyed among us have noticed a pattern here – and a significant omission.

No disrespect intended to Falkirk and Caley. Their supporters deserve to see their team as well, but one would think, would one not, that the team who has won the trophy 40 times should have been featured by now. It is not difficult to predict that Celtic will in fact be featured in this edition, but only as part of the fact that Inverness beat them in the semi-final! Goodness, it is enough to make one think that the BBC don’t like Celtic. That cannot be, surely! Perish the thought! But one begins to wonder – and will wonder all the more if the imbalance is not redressed soon!
