Muscat’s wages were topped up by an incredible £40,000 per game. Postecoglou Needs an EBT Rethink

Kevin Muscat is being linked with a move to Celtic to assist the incoming Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou. When the Australian was first mentioned for the Celtic job many Celtic fans initial reaction was ‘who?’ while folks in the know Down Under were quick to inform us about the former Socceroos manager’s attributes. Generally most Celtic fans would appear to be ready to give Postecoglou the benefit of the doubt and there is probably lukewarm enthusiasm for his arrival.

That however could change pretty dramatically IF he is allowed to appoint the EBT tax cheat Kevin Muscat, who ‘pocketed’ an additional £40k per game for Rangers FC and in doing so ensured that Celtic and every other club in Scottish football were cheated.

When Alfie Conn signed for Celtic, the former Rangers player was warmly welcome by the Celtic support and there has never been any barrier to someone who played his football at Ibrox – Presley and Miller being more recent examples.

As an EBT tax cheat like Muscat is different. He played his part in a rigged game, one that Celtic Supporters were conned out of money and our club out of trophies. He really is unsuitable for Celtic.

Postecoglou wants Celtic fans to back him, to give him a chance tased on his record at the other side of the World. Fair enough but the damage he will be doing to his own chances of succeeding are huge if he brings EBT tax cheat Kevin Muscat in with him.
