Neil Lennon to continue as Celtic manager, Sky Sports man confirms

ANTHONY JOSEPH is claiming that Neil Lennon retains the support of the Celtic board after a series of Zoom calls today discussing the club’s shocking run of two wins in ten games. Lennon had been expected to leave the club but Joseph took to Twitter to say that he would remain in his role.

Despite Lennon’s incredible achievements with Celtic, sentiment towards him from the support soured. The board have once again ignored the feeling of the support and acted. To compound matters, they haven’t done it directly or offered any explanation whatsoever.

The Sky Sports reporter revealed on Twitter yesterday that the Scottish Champions would be discussing the Irishman’s future today after the incredible 35 win run in domestic cup competitions was ended by the Highland side at Celtic Park.

This result and the subsequent scenes outside Celtic Park yesterday were easily avoidable but were attributed to a build up of frustration – with the product on the park and also the lack of fans in grounds.
The board had backed the club legend to turn it around but after the defeat, coupled with the failures in Europe, they were expected to decide for fresh approach.
