Nomadic ex-Celtic striker signs for Queen’s Park

Former Celtic striker Cillian Sheridan has returned to football after signing a deal with Queen’s Park. The Championship side have picked up the attacker, who left Inverness CT earlier this year. Callum Davidson has added some firepower to his squad in a bid to challenge the top end of the table.

The 34-year-old has had spells with Dundee, Killie, St Johnstone and Motherwell so it is fair to say that he is well travelled. The Irishman has also played in Cyprus, Poland, New Zealand and Israel during a nomadic career.

The target man joined Celtic in 2006 and made his debut in the 2-1 away Scottish Cup win against Inverness CT. Sheridan left Celtic in August 2010 for Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia having played 19 games and scoring 4 goals.

Hopefully the big striker can hit the ground running for The Spiders against league leaders Dundee United.
