A Week after the St Patrick’s Day Massacre it’s Celtic 3 Rangers 0

ONE week after Celtic’s St Patrick’s Day Triumph over Rangers in the Scottish Cup, the Ibrox side were back in the East End of the city to face the Hoops in the Premier League – and for them it was very much a revenge mission.

Lightning couldn’t possible strike twice, could it?

Well if their 2-0 defeat was bad on this day in 1991 Celtic went one further by thrashing the Rangers by 3 goals to nil. It was to be Graeme Souness’ last game versus Celtic and he was made to suffer.

After the multiple dismissals the week before Not The View gave out red cards to The Celtic supporters before this game and Nisbet duly obliged by getting himself sent off and leaving the pitch to a sea of aforementioned red cards from the crowd!

Anton Rogan the star of the day, he scored the opener, set up another and cleared one off The Celtic goal-line.

The Celtic side was as follows:
Bonner; Wdowczyk, Rogan, McNally, Elliott, Whyte, Miller, McStay, Coyne, Creaney (Walker, 82min), Collins (Fulton, 86).
Goals: Rogan (7), Miller (53), Coyne (85) – highlights below.

The next week Celtic were at home to Motherwell in the Premier League and got beat 2-1. These were tough times for the Celtic support so these two victories were relished by us all.
