Patryk Klimala insists he can play with Odsonne Edouard in the same team

Recently Celtic completed their first major signing of the January transfer window when they signed Polish striker, Patryk Klimala, from Jagiellonia Bialystok after activating his €4-million release clause. The 21-year-old scored 7 goals in 18 appearances this season for his former club and will be hoping to carry that form to Parkhead.

A lot has been made of where he fits into the team. The general consensus has been that he is just an option to bring off the bench at this point of time while Edouard remains the undisputed starter. But many have also speculated that Lennon could decide to play them together by changing his formation to accommodate two strikers up front.

According to Daily Record, Klimala insisted that he would be happy to be paired with the Frenchman on the pitch:

“It doesn’t matter if I play on my own or as part of a pair, I just want to play centrally. I could play with Odsonne Edouard. I would be quite happy with that.

“I haven’t seen a lot of Edouard but I saw his last game, he played well and scored a goal. He is a really good player.”

The Celtic fans got a first glimpse of their new signing yesterday when he came on as a late substitute for Leigh Griffiths. Interestingly, Edouard was on the pitch as well and it looks like Lennon is seriously considering playing both of them together in the future.
