Photo: Former Celt Rab Douglas Shares Image Of Him Getting The Better Of Pitch Invader During Dundee Derby Clash 22 Years Ago

On this day 22 years ago, Dundee beat Dundee United 1-0 at Tannadice. A young Rab Douglas was keeping nets that day.

There were no Tannadice celebrations after the 100th league derby as a wonder strike by James Grady for Dundee eight minutes from the end decided this Sky televised game.

After having a Billy Dodds goal disallowed in the third minute, Douglas was the Man of the Match as he pulled off a string of great saves including a remarkable one three minutes from the end when he scooped a Lars Zetterlund shot up and over to prevent what looked a certain equaliser.

At some point in proceedings, a football hooligan decided to run on the park and confront Douglas. He soon realised that he made a big error.
