Photo: Former Celtic defender shows love affair for club continues

Former Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko has shown that his love affair for the club has continued, despite plying his trade in the MLS. The Houston Dynamo star shared a picture on Instagram of him and his family with the Dane wearing a Celtic shirt with Larsson 7 on the back.

Having signed from FC Midtjylland in the 2016 January transfer window, Sviatchenko became an Invincible in Brendan Rodgers’ first tenure before the Irishman sanctioned his departure back to Denmark, initially on loan. The player embraced the club’s culture and tradition and has previously spoken of his disappointment at leaving the club.
