Photo Of The Day: Paul Wilson Scores On Derby Day

Today’s photo of the day rewinds to September 1976, and a different derby day as Celtic drew 2-2 with the old Rangers.

The Hoops trailed 2-0 at one stage, but a double from Paul Wilson (54th and 87th minutes) ensured the match finished level.

Wilson was joined by Celtic heroes Kenny Dalglish and Johnny Doyle, as the trio watched the ball sail into the net.

Celtic went onto lift the league title in emphatic fashion that season, winning the league by nine points in the days of two points for a win! The margin would have been 14 points under modern/current rules.
