Photo: Team bus leaves Hampden with fans there to pay tribute to Quadruple Treble winners

The Celtic bus arrived at Hampden today and there were fans there to see them into the ground. Despite not being able to go to the game itself, supporters were still backing the team outside the ground with a colourful display. They were rewarded with an incredible first half in which Celtic were in total control. However, Neil Lennon’s side wobbled but still managed to bring the Scottish Cup back to Celtic Park after a penalty shoot out win over Hearts.

The players celebrated briefly on the park then into the dressing room. Even hours after the win, as Celtic prepared to leave the ground, supporters were still there to salute them. The Quadruple Treble winners. In what has been a season like no other, supporters can only hope that the dawn of a New Year will see a return to stadiums. A new lockdown pending but light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a vaccine could hopefully see a safe return to Celtic Park and normality. We can enjoy that result even if it is hard to take that we weren’t able to be there to see it in person.

Well done to Celtic and we should all be allowed to soak this in after what has been a horrible year for everyone.
