Reaction to Celtic FC Women’s Champions League Qualification at the expense of the Rangers

There was plenty of reasons to be cheerful at Airdrie this afternoon after Fran Alonso’s impressive side, depleted due to a Covid scare sidelines 7 players including 4 in the planned starting eleven, easily defeated Motherwell by 8-0 to make sure of the Champions League qualification – at the expense of theRangers, a side Alonso’s team did the Green & Whitewash over in this campaign.

Glasgow City have had the SWPL all their own way for near on a decade and a half but the Celtic challenge is now on. Taken to the last day of the season by Alonso’s side who had been written off throughout the season by commentators, pundits and coaches (never on The Celtic Star though).
