Reliable West Ham account gives transfer update on Celtic duo

The reliable West Ham United account @exWHUemployee has delivered an update on potential moves for two Celtic players.

Kris Ajer was linked with the Hammers by the Express last month but David Moyes apparently is not interested in signing the Norwegian, looking instead of signing Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah. Whilst this is good news for the club, the account did say that the ex-Everton manager and former Celtic defender Moyes was an admirer of Callum McGregor.

McGregor captained Celtic in today’s 2-0 win over St Johnstone and it is imperative that Celtic don’t sell him. Whilst Moyes is an admirer of McGregor, so too is Ian McCall at Partick Thistle but it doesn’t mean that there will be a deadline day move.

Celtic are in the most important season since 1997/98 and they need to keep their best players around – which the versatile, tireless McGregor is.

ExWHUemployee has 85,000 followers and is said to have insider information about the Hammers with an impressive track record regarding happenings at the Premier League club.

Whilst McGregor impresses Moyes, it is unlikely that Celtic would entertain an offer for such an important player especially with no time to replace him.

Celtic are reportedly not interested in pursuing a deal for Robert Snodgrass with Alison Conroy of Clyde 1 saying that the club had no interest in the 33-year-old.
