Reo Hatate named in SPFL Team of the Week after inspired performance

Celtic midfielder Reo Hatate has been named in the SPFL Team of the Week after his impressive performance against St Johnstone. With Tony Ralston injured, Josip Juranovic recovering from his World Cup heroics and Alastair Johnston not yet registered, Hatate was given the task of filling in at right back.

Hatate scored twice from his new role, getting forward and helping his teammates towards an impressive 4-1 win. The brace from the Japanese star was complimented by a brace by striking colleague Kyogo.

Ange Postecoglou will need to decide if he persists with the Hatate experiment for tomorrow night’s game against Hibernian. Juranovic is back with Celtic but is believed to be returning from a slight knock while Ralston comes back from an injury. The manager has said that he will not rush the Croatian full-back back from injury but with the game at Ibrox coming up on 2 January 2023.
