Celtic stars Anthony Ralston and Callum McGregor start for Scotland in Dublin this afternoon in the UEFA Nations League match against Republic of Ireland. Fellow Celts Greg Taylor and David Turnbull are on the Scotland bench as Steve Clarke’s side looked to build on the 2-0 win against Armenia in the opening match of the group on Wednesday night.
Ralston made his full debut in midweek, scored the opening goal and picked up the Man of the Match award. That appears to have been more than enough to convince the Scotland manager to name the Celtic right back in his team this afternoon.
Former Celt Craig Gordon is in goals, and there are two other ex-Celtic players in the Scotland starting eleven, Ryan Christie and Jack Hendry while Stuart Armstrong is on the bench.
The Scotland team to play Ireland is as follows: Gordon (GK), Robertson (C), McTominay, Hanley, McGinn, McGregor, Adams, Christie, Hendry, McKenna, Ralston. Substitutes: McCrorie (GK), Kelly (GK), Patterson, Souttar, Stewart, Gilmour, Taylor, Armstrong, Turnbull, Brown, Campbell, Hickey.
Kick-off is at 5pm and the game is live on Premier Sports.
