Shane Duffy will remain at Celtic until the end of the season, according to Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph. The Ireland captain has struggled since arriving from Brighton on a season-long loan and it has been a hard watch for supporters as the big central defender tries to kickstart his form with his boyhood team.
Celtic expect Shane Duffy to stay at the club until end of his loan.

Reports earlier today suggested that Chris Hughton may look to tempt the player back to England; however Joseph has said that the 9IAR Champions expect the 29-year-old to remain at the club.
It would have been mad for Celtic to consider getting rid of another defender with the team so short on options at the back even without the isolation order.
Despite publicly stating last week that the club are chasing another central defender, Kennedy confirmed to the media that the club had no intention of sending the player back to Brighton. Duffy was pictured jetting out of Celtic’s Dubai camp, fuelling suggestions that he may be on the way back following a poor start to life in Glasgow.
“Shane will be very much with us,” Kennedy said. “We have no intention of sending him back to Brighton.”
Celtic missed out on Mark McKenzie and Filip Benkovic this transfer window and the links to any potential replacements have gone quiet.
