Celtic have been under increasing pressure to adopt change as the coveted 10IAR season has faltered and dreams of winning that title in May appear to be incredibly slim. Now, the excellent Celtic podcast The Cynic have produced a template letter to send into the club in order to force change and hold the club to account. This mechanism will allow supporters to get in touch with the club and convey the feeling that a lot of fans appear to have towards the club.
A lot has been said about what we can do as a fan base to create real change at our football club.
We have created a template letter that can be printed off and posted or emailed to Celtic asking for answers.
We are doing this as Celtic fans and nothing more…

Due to current restrictions we cannot protest they way we would in normal times.
This write in campaign is our starting point. Let’s demand answers. Let’s demand change.

The letter is incredibly well written and respectfully asks Chairman Iain Banker to address the concerns of the Celtic support as they look to the club for clarity over a number of operational decisions. Celtic have won four consecutive trebles thanks to the appointment of Brendan Rodgers back in 2016 and then Neil Lennon continuing that. However, performances on the park have worsened exacerbated by COVID-19 and fans would like to know why.
You can access the letter here.
Celtic are 21 points behind Rangers in the League, Neil Lennon’s side were knocked out of the League Cup as well as the Europa League and Champions League – despite being in seemingly favourable positions. The season has lurched from one poor result to another both on and off the pitch. There is an incredible appetite for transparency at the club and The Cynic are asking for it to be done in a safe and unified fashion. There are a number of different ideas and organisations that are campaigning for change but one thing is certain is there is a widespread desire to have the supporters’ voices being heard.
