Shved Shines as Celtic Reserves Hammer Aberdeen

Marian Shved has responded to Neil Lennon’s decision to omit him from Celtic’s Europa League squad ahead of the clash with Copenhagen by scoring a goal in Celtic’s victory over Aberdeen reserves.

The Pittodrie side had travelled to Lennoxtown for a friendly clash between the reserves side as Tommy McIntyre opted for a strong side, including some fringe first team players – such as Daniel Arzani, Ewan Henderson and Ismael Soro.

Soro, who joined from the Israeli outfit Bnei Yehuda in a £2m deal in January but is yet to make his first team debut, was replaced after 45 minutes as he aims to get up to speed. The man that replaced him, Barry Coffey was shown a red card for his reaction to a tackle as the ten men Celts ran out 4-0 winners.

Cameron Harper opened the scoring before Dembele and Shved scored for reserve side before half time. Aberdeen managed to keep Celtic at bay until the 88th minute when Oxo-Flex completed the romp.

Celtic’s first team beat Aberdeen 2-1 at Pittodrie on Sunday and now face a trio to Denmark to face Copenhagen in the Europa League Round of 32.
