THE TOP lawyer who successfully represented Celtic captain Scott Brown against the Scottish FA’s rather ridiculous charge of ‘not acting in the best interests of Association football’ on Friday afternoon, attended Celtic Park for the game against Kilmarnock the next day and was absolutely blown away by the experience.
“I was amazed by the incredible atmosphere at Celtic Park on Saturday – my first time there,” Nick de Marco QC posted on his social media account along with some footage of the Celtic support in full voice before the game singing You’ll Never Walk Alone as part of the moving tribute to Cesar.
“If we get into Europe come back…the atmosphere will blow you away,” HenrikLubo replied, although not sure what he means by IF!
An intriguing response came from Joe @onekinghenrik who gave the QC a head up on another piece of business he could handle for Celtic…
“So on the subject of Resolution 12…..”

Nick De Marco QC describes himself as a “Sports lawyer “best dressed barrister around”; “foremost expert on football regulatory matters” film photographer, QPR fan, wine maker, novice artist.”
Reckon he’ll be adding a wee line about Celtic to that soon and he should ask the club about Resolution 12….that one is right up his street.
“All he needs to know is on https://www.res12.uk Did a payable to HMRC exist or not at 31st March? Not a potential liability but a payable. Was it overdue as per Art50 and Annex V111? That is what Res12 asked to be investigated by CFCB in 2013. It’s been avoided since then,” Auldheid advised.
