Celtic are in Perth this morning for their Cinch Premiership match against St Johnstone. The Scottish Champions played in Europe during the week, losing to Lazio in Rome. However, in order to get back into the Champions League, Brendan Rodgers knows that his side need to win the league.
Team News
Celtic go into the game with some injuries across the squad. In midfield, Reo Hatate is out until January – meaning that Celtic must continue to rotate between Odin Thiago Holm, David Turnbull and Paolo Bernardo for the third place in the middle. On the wings, Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda remain out.
Rodgers will likely go with the same back four that competed in midweek – Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales & Greg Taylor. In midfield, expect David Turnbull to be given the third midfield role alongside Matt O’Riley and skipper Callum McGregor. Kyogo will start through the middle with Luis Palma likely coming back into the starting XI. Expect Yang to start on the right.
Referee Details
Don Robertson will referee the clash. Frank Connor and Alan Mulvanny will assist with Colin Whyte acting as Fourth Official. Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, Kevin Clancy is on VAR with Dougie Potter assisting.
Kick Off Time
The game kicks off at 12pm (Celtic Park Time).
