A fixture update to report this morning from the SWPL confirms that Celtic’s home league match against Hearts will now take place this Sunday 11 April. This match had initially been rescheduled due to international activity and would have seen Celtic and Hearts sitting out this week’s round of matches.
That though is now not the case and both sides will be glad to get back into action, having only just returned on Sunday after a long lay-off stretching back to the middle of December.
Hearts, who have found things challenging in the SWPL1 after winning promotion last season, lost 6-0 to theRangers on their first game back while Celtic were disappointing in their 3-0 home defeat to Glasgow City that leaves the Hoops trailing both Glasgow City and theRangers by 5 points with 13 matches to play.
Three points on Sunday is absolutely essential for Fran Alonso’s side who won 10-0 in their earlier away day trip to play Hearts in Edinburgh at the start of November.
