Team’s Up – Abada returns as Edouard drops to bench

Ange Postecoglou has named his side for tonight’s Europa League Play Off first leg against AZ Alkmaar. A full Celtic Park awaits the players as they look to take one step towards the group stages of the Europa League. The manager has opted to make just one change with Odsonne Edouard dropping out for Liel Abada.

In goals, Joe Hart starts and will be looking to turn out an impressive performance should he be called upon.

In defence, Postecoglou has opted to go for the same back line as Sunday. Carl Starfelt partners Stephen Welsh with Anthony Ralston and Greg Taylor operating in the IWB positions on the right and left of the defence.

In midfield, Callum McGregor starts in the holding role as Tom Rogic and David Turnbull start slightly further forward.

In attack, Liel Abada returns for aids one Edouard with Kyogo Furuhashi occupying the central role alongside James Forrest.

On the bench: Barkas, Bain, Bitton, Ajeti, Soro, McCarthy, Edouard, Urhoghide, Shaw, Robertson, Montgomery.

It is a huge game but one that will go a long way to define the season. Ange’s side have shown that they can be excellent in attack but we need to be solid in defence in order to progress through ties of this nature.

Come on Celtic!
