Team news for Edinburgh as Alonso names six changes from Sunday’s League Cup victory…

Charlie Wellings (#21) of Celtic Women FC during the Scottish Women’s Premier League Cup quarter-final match between Rangers Women and Celtic Women at Rangers Football Academy, Glasgow, Scotland on 31 October 2021.

Fran Alonso has made five changes to his starting eleven from the Celtic FC Women side that defeated theRangers at Murray Park on Sunday afternoon, for this evening’s SWPL match away to Hearts.

Coming into the Huddle this evening are Warrington, Craig, Bowie, Toland, Ólafsdóttir Gros and McGovern while Bartle, Shorts, Shen, Larisey, Clark and Donaldson are all rested and start on the Bech alongside fit again Izzy Aitkinson.

We called on Fran Alonso to rotate his squad this evening so are delighted that he has done just that. The charismatic, yet crafty Spanish coach reckons he has got the best squad in women’s football in Scotland this season so we’ll get a decent idea this evening whether that’s the case.

The Celtic side to play Hearts is Chloe Logan, Chloe Warrington, Chloe Craig (c), Caitlin Hayes, Bowie, Tyler Toland, Olivia Chance, Maria Ólafsdóttir. Gros, Jacynta, Charlie Wellings and Kathleen McGovern.

Subs: Jodie Bartle, Cheyenne Shorts, Shen Mengyu, Larisey, Rachel Donaldson, Kelly Clark and Izzy Atkinson.

Kick-off is at 7.30pm – COYGIG!
