Transfer Latest: Celtic linked with another Japanese talent

As the Angeball adventure continues to roll on, it’s hard to believe the strides we’ve made under our new leader. The rebuild at Celtic is still a work in progress, with several positions still needing addressed throughout the team and wider squad.

Over the past week or so Celtic have been linked with a few players. Daizen Maeda is hotly tipped to be a January recruit as we look to wrestle the title back from the Ibrox side. Just the other day, we were linked with another player from the East in the form of Song Min-kyu.

Now, as of tonight, reports have tentatively surfaced online that Ange will look to exploit the Japanese market by signing Kawasaki Frontale utility man, Reo Hatate – with a deal reputedly sewn up ahead of the window opening. The player has predominately featured in midfield this season, but is thought of as a left-back and can even play left-wing.

The untapped potential of Japan could come into sharp focus moving forward, as the manager has strong ties in this part of football world. Combine this with the fact new rules surrounding the reality of Brexit, and we could see a lot more of Kyogo’s comrades strut their stuff at Paradise in the years ahead.

The more the merrier I say!
