Team’s Up – Brendan names his Celtic team for must win clash

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this evening’s UEFA Champions League clash with Young Boys. The Scottish Champions will look to secure their passage into the next phase of the tournament with three points against the visitors from Switzerland.

The manager has sprung no surprises with the team as predicted earlier today.

Kasper Schmeichel extended his stay at Celtic earlier today and he starts in goals.

In defence, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty start in the central pairing with Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor in the full back roles.

In midfield, skipper Callum McGregor starts alongside Reo Hatate and Arne Engels.

In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle with Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn out wide.

Subs: Sinisalo, Bain, Scales, Palma, Idah, Valle, Yang, McCowan, Nawrocki, Bernardo, Murray & Ralston.

Celtic are quite light on attacking options and the manager will hope that progress to the next phase of the competition will assist in getting recruitments into the club.
