Team’s Up – Flint starts, Loferski on the bench for Celtic FC Women

Elena Sadiku has named her Celtic FC Women side to take on Hearts in the 6pm kick-off at their sun drenched Oriam Training Centre in the capital, with kick-off fast approaching. And there’s one change from the starting XI that defeated Partick Thistle 3-0 on Sunday to take Celtic to within two wins of a first ever women’s title for Celtic Football Club.

Clare Goldie drops to the bench to make way for The Goal Machine, Tash Flint who was rested at the weekend with this match and the game against Hibs at Celtic Park this Sunday in mind. And there’s great news in that Kit Loferski has recovered from her ankle injury and makes the bench, as Jessica Elliott predicted on The Celtic Star this morning.

Celtic have Kelsey Daugherty in goals and the experienced back three of Caitlin Hayes, the captain Kelly Clark and Chloe Craig.  In the midfield four Natalie Ross and Shen Mengyu are in central roles with Celya Barclais and Lucy Ashworth Clifford as the right and left wingback respectively.

The front three are Amy Gallagher, Murphy Agnew and The Goal Machine Tash Flint, so we’ve got plenty of firepower for this must win match.

The Celtic subs are Logan, Cummings, Robertson, Smith, Cavanagh, Loferski, Menglu, Goldie and McAneny.

The Celtic FC Women manager is Elena Sadiku and the game is live on BBC Alba with a 6pm kick-off. Celtic’s formation is 3-4-3.  Let’s do it Ghirls…
