Team’s Up – Giakoumakis up front, Rogic and Hatate in middle

Celtic face Raith Rovers this afternoon as Ange Postecoglou looks to seal his side’s progression into the next stage of the cup. Standing in their way are John McGlynn’s Raith Rovers. The visitors from Kirkcaldy have been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons but will be hoping to put the David Goodwillie saga to the back of their minds this afternoon.

The manager has named his team and he has made a few changes to the starting XI.

In goals, Joe Hart continues. The Englishman has been exceptional since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

In defence, Stephen Welsh partners Cameron Carter-Vickers in the central pairing. Liam Scales plays on the left with Anthony Ralston on the right.

In the middle, Reo Hatate and Tom Rogic play in the advanced midfield roles with Nir Bitton (sporting the captain’s armband) in the holding role.

In attack, Mikey Johnstone starts on the left, James Forrest starts on the right and Giorgos Giakoumakis through the middle.

Christopher Jullien and Yosuke Ideguchi will be hoping for some game time. The manager has said that he will be using the game as an opportunity to spread the game time around his team and this could be an opportunity to do so if progression has been sealed.

On the bench for Celtic: Barkas, Bain, Jullien, Taylor, Abada, McCarthy, Jota, Ideguchi, Maeda, McGregor and Doak.
